FIBROBLAST PLASMA FAQS

WHAT IS FIBROBLAST PLASMA?

Plasma Fibroblast is a non-surgical revolutionary skin tightening cosmetic treatment (or soft surgery method) for a perfect facial rejuvenation, using Plasma (the 4th state of matter) instead of a scalpel to shrink, tighten and reduce the volume of excess skin.

WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT INVOLVE?

When activated, the machine creates a plasma flash that travels from the tool's tip to the treated area. The tool itself never touches the skin however plasma flash creates a tiny dot upon the contact. Further points are applied to create a symmetrical grid over the treatment area. This in effect causes tightening of skin fibers. It is a non-invasive treatment, no cuts to the skin or stitching are necessary, and is completely bloodless and without unnecessary damages to surrounding tissues.

DOES IT HURT?

Fibroblast is a non-surgical treatment with no pain or minimal discomfort reported by patients. A topical cream is applied to numb the treated area prior to the procedure.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER TREATMENT?

You can carry on with your day as normal, however, it is very important to follow our aftercare recommendations. Carbon crusts CANNOT be scratched or removed. Drying skin by dabbing with a clean, lint-free cloth is allowed. Healing skin should be protected from direct sun with SPF50 cream. Sports, swimming, and sauna are not permitted until crusts fall off. This should happen within 7 days of the procedure.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?

Plasma is very safe and side-effects are rare but infection, scarring, and temporary change of skin pigmentation may occur. Carbon crusts, tiny superficial dots that form directly on the skin are part of the normal healing process and when correctly treated with after-cream will cause no threat and fall off 5-7 days after treatment. Mild swelling is expected during the first 3 days and usually entirely gone by day 5. The majority of our patients do not report any of those after a week.

IS A CONSULTATION REQUIRED?

Yes. Anyone interested in the Fibroblast procedure is required to have a face-to-face consultation. Careful assessment by our Specialist will ensure the right treatment plan. Multiple factors affect the aging process. Each person and treated area is different and needs to be determined individually. Our goal is to keep clients informed and meet their expectations. Consultations are approximately 20 minutes.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?

The number of treatments required will vary according to the area being treated, skin's laxity, the desired degree of correction and the individual's response to the treatment. Clients may see results instantly but the skin continues to improve over the course of the following 12 weeks. 2- 3 further treatments may be recommended to get the desired results. Appointments must be spaced out by at least 12 weeks.

CAN ANYONE HAVE THIS TREATMENT?

You should be in good health at the time of the appointment, with no pre-existing health conditions. If you display signs of cold or flu the treatment should be rescheduled. Your skin should not be inflamed in the area we are treating prior to the procedure. You should not be prone to keloid scars. You must not have diabetes, healing disorders, or lymphatic draining issues. You must not have sunburn/suntan. You must have no history of Hyperpigmentation / Hypopigmentation. You must not display herpes simplex (cold sores when working in the lip area) It is recommended you consult with your medical Doctor and begin taking medication 3 days prior to treatment and 4 days following treatment. You cannot have the treatment if you wear a pacemaker due to the electrical arcing. You cannot have the treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. You should have eyelash extensions REMOVED prior to treatment if treating eye areas. This treatment is only recommended on Fitzpatrick Scales 1-3. Fibroblast Treatment is not advised for those with very dark skin. This is because there is a higher risk of hyperpigmentation (dark spots) or hypopigmentation (light spots) following treatment.
